Matt Wachtel

Founder and Elite Trainer

As a personal trainer for over 13 years, Matt has a proven track record of helping clients maximize their potential. He understands that you spend your hard-earned money on personal training to meet specific goals. He knows that if you want to be the best, you have to train with the best. It was this credo that led Matt to pursue fitness excellence via enlistment in the United States Army.
Matt's transformation from a health enthusiast to motivational trainer began while he was in uniform. Upon graduating at the top of his boot camp class in Fort Benning, Georgia, widely considered the nation's toughest; Matt began his journey of pushing himself and those around him to be the best that they can be!
Today, Matt inspires his clients to achieve their goals with the same passion that earned him the rank of Sergeant in the U.S. Army. In addition to providing top notch personal training, Matt enjoys helping his team trainers at Body Bank Fitness foster many of the disciplines that have made him one of Rockland County's most sought after personal trainers.

Kim Lauro

Elite Trainer

Kim Lauro is a NASM-CPT (National Academy of Sports Medicine – Certified Personal Trainer). She holds a certification in TRX suspension training and consistently updates her knowledge of the latest trends in health and physical fitness.

In 1992, she placed in the Night of the Champions Miss Fitness Competition at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Kim is an experienced professional with over 25 years in the health and fitness industry. She enjoys helping transform the bodies, minds and spirits of her diverse clientele.

Kim was fortunate to work with the late fitness legend and pioneer, Jack LaLanne, in the development of a senior specific exercise program. This program is currently improving the health of thousands of seniors across the country.

Kim lives by and preaches Jack’s motto, “Anything in life is possible, if you make it happen.”

Tom Brady

Elite Trainer

Tom has been an educator/coach in the health and performance field for the past 10 years. Before that, he competed in athletics on both the High School and Collegiate levels, and worked in Major League Baseball for 9 years with the Yankees and Royals.

Toms passion for his work shows in the success of his clients.

Tom is certified in many aspects of health and performance such as:

  • Certified Personal Trainer thru NSCA, NASM and ACE
  • Golf strength & conditioning specialist

Anthony Muscatella

Elite Trainer

​Anthony has been helping clients reach their goals since 2005. In addition to being a Personal Trainer for the last 9 years, Anthony is a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Anthony's knowledge of human anatomy and movement insures a safe, personalized workout for each client. Anthony uses a research based exercise approach to provide the most appropriate exercise for any fitness level or goal. Anthony is most passionate about designing exercise programs for patients with a history of injury or medical complications.

Lenny Ferber

Elite Trainer

​Lenny Ferber is a master level ACE certified personal trainer. Lenny has over 20 years experience in multiple aspects of fitness.

A thriathlon competitor from 1995-1998, Lenny holds certifications in Sports Conditioning, Nutritional Counseling, Group Exercise and Spin Instruction.

While Lenny's clients have included professional and Olympic athletes, he is also a youth fitness specialist.

Sara B Brooks

Elite Trainer and Cycle Instructor

Sara Brooks has been passionate about health and fitness since she was young. Sara graduated from Castleton State College of Vermont in 2003, and so began her desire to educate, impact, and improve individual lives through exercise. Upon completion of her Bachelor's of Sciene in Exercise Science, Sara became National Academy of Sports Medicine-Certified (NASM), Amerian Fitness Professional and Associates (AFPA)- Certified Weight Management Consultant, and a Nutrition and Wellness Consultant. In the past 10 years, Sarah's high energy, knowledge, and dedication to fitness has impacted hundreds of individuals varying in age and fitness level through one-to-one training, bootcamps, semi-private training, and group aerobics. Sara combines her passion for fitness and nutrition to provide a system that gets results regardless of the challenge or fitness goals. Sara educates her clients in proper exercise techniques to maximize their workout time, as well as proper eating habits to obtain a healthy lifestyle.

Brian Tohn

Brian Tohn is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer with 16 years of experience.

- Brian also holds a National License in massage therapy.

- Brian’s philosophy is to really put the “Personal” in each of his personal training sessions by involving all aspects of the client’s skill set to best facilitate their growth and development. He does this by integrating stretching, mobility, flexibility, strength, balance and much more!

- Unique to Brian’s background is that he offers stretch therapy for pre- and post-workout, which is the key to a client’s continued success in the gym. Train smart and hard!

Steven Ramos

A former collegiate athlete at North Carolina State University and current personal trainer certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Steven is qualified to work with any individual regardless of their goals. He knows what positive results hard work and determination can have, and knows exactly how to use them to achieve the results a person wishes to see in themselves.

Whether a person is interested in losing weight, gaining muscle, increasing strength and speed, he is well versed in every aspect of athletic training and overall fitness, coming prepared with the knowledge and implementation skills to get a person seeing life changing results!
While Steven has a passion for helping any individual better themselves, and finds great pleasure in helping athletes achieve all of their athletic goals, Steven’s favorite clients are those who are inexperienced in fitness. Those are the clients that Steven feels benefits most from his training, because more then helping an athlete get to the next level, or showing an experienced lifter different techniques, he loves to teach people who currently have minimal to no exercise in their life, the importance of exercise and how to implement proper training into their lifestyles in order to maintain overall health.

Lou Balaguer

As an athlete at an early age, Lou grew up loving every aspect of training, exercise and competing. He also learned that health and fitness are vital components of athletic success.

Armed with a Bachelors of Science degree in Sports Medicine, along with a background in wrestling, boxing, martial arts and gymnastics; Lou has the critical knowledge and experience needed to execute a top-notch personal fitness training program .

Currently, Lou is a boxing coach who provides the motivation needed to take his clients to the next level…even when they think they can’t. As a former fighter, Lou has that “never give up” mentality. He will not quit on you as a trainer! Your failure is his failure; your success is his success.

Lisa Jankun

Elite Trainer

Lisa has been in the fitness industry for almost 25 years. She started as a group fitness instructor and has taught every type of class from kickboxing to Zumba.

Lisa then turned her career path towards person training where she saw a trending pattern of chronic injuries and focused her education on body mechanics and body realignment by becoming FMS (functional movement specialist) levels 1&2. By correcting movement patterns, Lisa's clients have made incredible gains and report less injuries.

Lisa became a FST (fascial stretch therapist), the first in Rockland County. This type of stretching is unique in that it stretches the fascia and helps alleviate chronic pain and poor athletic performance. She is currently a level 2 and will be a level 3 in December. Lisa is a NSCA certified personal trainer, as well as AFAA trainer, spin instructor, group fitness, aqua, and weight room certified, as well as Zumba certified.

Stacey Vitro

Accredited by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Stacey has spent many years working with and learning various styles of training.

As a mother of four kids, she has personally made the fitness and weight loss journey and understands firsthand how important both consistent exercise and nutrition are to achieve an overall healthy state of body and mind.

She is continually researching and working to gain additional knowledge into current fitness trends, and is working toward completing both Corrective Exercise and Fitness Nutrition Certification.

She believes that each person's path and goals to becoming fit and healthy are unique and looks forward to helping you achieve those goals for yourself.

Candice Alfieri

Elite Trainer

Candice Alfieri is a NASM Certified Trainer (National Academy of Sports Medicine). She also holds her AFAA (Athletics and Fitness Association of America) Group Fitness Certification, as well as Mad Dogg Athletics Spinning Certification and NASM Youth Exercise Specialist. Candice has always had a passion for fitness, been an avid athlete and has coached organized sports.

Originally an educator in the classroom, Candice has been working in the fitness industry since 2003. Her high energy personality and diverse skill set help optimize results for clients of all ages. Candice's holistic approach to fitness incorporates total body conditioning, compound movements and proper exercise technique in order to maximize each session. Her challenging and effective sweat sessions transform the body by using all muscle groups. Candice's approach to health and wellness is to be a lifelong student by staying current on new methodologies and having fun! Her open and welcoming approach allows clients of all levels to partner with her.

Paul Glushakov

Elite Trainer

Paul Glushakov received his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from UMASS Amherst in 2013, and is currently studying to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Dominican College.

Paul is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with plenty of experience working with athletes during his time at UMASS. Paul uses his knowledge of the human body as well as biomechanics to design a safe training program with emphasis on proper form and technique while still pushing clients towards their goals.

Joseph Carioscia

Joe brings 12+ years of personal training experience to Body Bank and has successfully designed programs for adolescents, seniors, beginners, as well as professional athletes and weekend warriors. Joe takes pride in helping his clients reach and maintain their specific fitness goals; which include; flexibility & strength training, weight-loss / management, to bodybuilding and golf-specific conditioning / performance enhancement.
 
Joe's unique ability to identify what will keep you motivated, together with his passion for fitness and helping others, will ensure that every workout is a successful one and brings you a step closer to your goals.
 
Joe is a OCB Professional Natural Bodybuilder and enjoys participating in half marathons and Spartan Races (qualified for 2014 Spartan World Championships).
