Matt Wachtel

Matt has been a personal trainer for over thirteen years and has a proven track record of helping clients reach their potential. He understands that you spend your hard-earned money on personal training to meet your specific goals. If you want to focus on being the best that you can be, you have to train with the best.

Matt's desire to excel in physical fitness was born when he enlisted in the United States Army. Having graduated top in his class in the hardest basic training in the country at Fort Benning, Georgia (home of the Infantry), Matt began his journey pushing himself and those around him to be the best! Prior to completing his service with the Army, Matt reached the rank of Sergeant and was a specialist in air defense artillery.

Today, Matt not only enjoys inspiring his clients to achieve their goals, but working with his team of trainers at Body Bank Fitness to help them foster many of the disciplines that have made Matt one of Rockland County's most sought after personal trainers.

Lou Balaguer

Elite Trainer

As an athlete at an early age, Lou grew up to love every aspect of training, exercise and competing. Lou learned the importance of health and fitness in order to succeed in sports.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine along with a background in wrestling, boxing, martial arts and gymnastics, Lou has the experience, knowledge, and a firm grasp on personal fitness training.

Lou is currently a boxing coach and provides the motivation needed to take clients to the next level…even when they think they can’t. As a fighter, Lou has the never give up mentality and will not quit on you as a trainer. Your failure is his failure. Your success is his success.

Brian Tohn

Elite Trainer

Brian Tohn is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer with 16 years experience.

Brian also holds a National License in massage therapy.

Brian’s philosophy is to really put the “Personal” in each of his personal training sessions by involving all aspects of the client’s skill set to best facilitate their growth and development. He does this by integrating stretching, mobility, flexibility, strength, balance and much more!

Unique to Brian’s background is that he offers stretch therapy for pre- and post-workout, which is key to a client’s continued success in the gym. Train smart and hard!

Ann Marie Gonera

Elite Trainer

Ann Marie Gonera holds a national certification as a Personal Trainer accredited by the American College of Sports Medicine, a certified Group Fitness Instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, and an E3 certified weight management specialist.

She also holds TRX instructor certification and is certified in Kettlebell Level One. Ann Marie has an extensive background in the health and wellness industry. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Nursing and is currently a Family Practice and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at NY Presbyterian Hospital. As a health and fitness professional, Ann Marie promotes health maintenance, proper nutrition, motivation, and safety for her clients. Through an individualized exercise program, she enjoys assisting her clients in the achievement of their fitness goals and a healthy lifestyle.

Mike Izzo

Elite Trainer

Mike Izzo started his career as a trainer, while studying Physical Education at Manhattan College and has been training clients of all ages since 2010. He is recognized through The National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), and a Fitness Nutrition Specialist (FNS). In addition, Mike holds the Cross-Fit level one certificate and a small group training TRX certificate. His objective, as a fitness instructor, is to create programs that will target the ten most important general physical skills for life and sport: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, power, speed, flexibility, agility, accuracy, balance and coordination.

Joe lozado

Joe has over 35,000 hours of personal training experience and loves helping clients achieve their fitness goals. Through the last 17 years Joe has trained Olympic Athletes, general fitness clients, and anyone who was willing to make a significant change to their state of health and fitness.

Joe's focus has always been about "exercise science" and with his non-biased approach to fitness, he has utilized all methods of training systems; to help his clients achieve their goals.

Joe believes in training hard, but also enjoying the experience as well. Fitness can be fun!

Kim Lauro

Elite Trainer

Kim Lauro is a NASM-CPT (National Academy of Sports Medicine – Certified Personal Trainer). She also holds a certification in TRX suspension training and consistently updates her knowledge of the latest trends in health and physical fitness.

In 1992, she placed in the Night of the Champions Miss Fitness Competition at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Kim is an experienced professional with over 25 years in the health and fitness industry. She enjoys helping transform the bodies, minds and spirits of a diverse clientele.

Kim was fortunate to work with the late fitness legend and pioneer, Jack LaLanne in the development of a senior specific exercise program that is currently helping improve the health of thousands of seniors across the country.

Kim lives and teaches Jack’s motto, “Anything in life is possible, if you make it happen.”

Gina DaBenigno

Gina DaBenigno is a NYS licensed massage therapist and certified personal trainer, practicing since 2003. Through her range of modalities including Orthopedic based Sports massage, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Cranio-Sacral therapy, Thai Yoga massage and Reiki, Gina is able to treat a wide array of conditions.

Gina’s strong knowledge and versatility brings her continued success in facilitating healing and recovery in each of her clients. Gina approaches each session with intention and specificity and is constantly educating her clients about the benefits of massage therapy and its place within a healthy and pain-free lifestyle.

As a personal trainer, Gina possesses a solid knowledge of the body. Her focus on form and the mind/muscle connection is the basis and foundation of each training session. Gina was not only a competitive athlete in high school, but has also competed as a figure competitor in the past and has a strong background in nutrition.

Gina teaches her clients that with focus, patience, determination, along with well balanced nutrition, all are capable of achieving and maintaining a strong body and good health.

Mike Reidy

Elite Trainer

Mike has been a personal trainer since 2001.

Mike received a degree in Athletic Training from Dominican College. While at Dominican, Mike worked with and provided strength and conditioning programs for the men’s and women’s basketball team as well as the baseball team.

Mike has an extensive background in anatomy and physiology. This has positioned him to be able to work with athletes at the high school, college and professional levels helping them through rehabilitation of exercise injuries and on-going sport specific fitness.

Drawing from his education and many years in the field, Mike has the flexibility to be able to assist men and women of all fitness levels.

Teddy Guerzon

Elite Trainer

Teddy has been training athletes in Rockland, Westchester, and Bergen counties since 2006. He is recognized as a Performance Enhancement Specialist and a Certified Personal Trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Teddy has helped numerous athletes reach their full potential by solidifying their athletic foundation at a young age. Their time invested with him has resulted in championships, headlines, and scholarships.

In high school, Teddy played football, basketball, and baseball. One of his biggest hobbies is Powerlifting; specifically deadlifting. Although Teddy just cracked into the sport in 2009, he was quickly rewarded for his hard work in 2010 when he won the USPF Nationals for the Men’s Juniors 165 lb Class with a deadlift of 501.5 lbs.

Later that year, at the Tom Foley Bench Press and Deadlift Meet in Nanuet, NY, Teddy went on to set the WABDL New York State Deadlift Record for the Men’s Juniors 165 lb Class with a deadlift of 523.5 lbs. This same lift won him the “Best Deadlift” award as it is given to the person with the best deadlift according to the Wilks Formula (a coefficient that is used to measure the strength of a powerlifter against other powerlifters despite the different weights of the lifters). Teddy’s current deadlift max is 540 lbs. while weighing 165 lbs.

Jenn Lowenfish

Certified Nutritional Consultant

Jenn started her career in Psychology and Organizational Development, specializing in group and interpersonal dynamics. She holds a BS in Psychology from Penn State University and a double Master’s Degree in Psychology and Organization Development from Brandeis and Columbia University. A mother of 2, she has been working towards health and fitness goals for the past several years and decided to pursue a career in Holistic Nutrition. She holds a Certificate in Holistic Nutrition from the American College of Healthcare Sciences and is completing further training as an HHP (Holistic Health Practitioner) which increases her ability to help people with various medical conditions and restrictions. Her philosophy is that everyone has individual goals and needs when it comes to nutrition and all sessions & programs are designed accordingly.

She will teach you how to eat healthier, cleaner and become more balanced. She can also provide additional nutrition services such as: detailed recipes with nutritional data, one on one cooking sessions, walk through of a cleanse or elimination diet as well as body fat and metabolic rate testing.
